“HEARSAY syndrome”on family planning

So many times people pick up a subject, characters of individuals, places, products, just to mention but afew: spread the talk like a wild fire of things they know not about. The biggest rumour about these products or services is negative.

They will tell how terrible these things are and go ahead to advise you never to use them. As you keep listening, you get to realize that this individual telling you all this, is not sure of what they talking about. This can be evident in their speech and choice of words.

Discliamer, am not a medical doctor by profession but please hear me out about issues of family planning.

With all due respect to every reader; your religion, faith, and cultural norms. Friends how many couples have gone to a professional doctor to discuss family planning?

How many have got the right information and not just “hearsay” from a friend’s experience who narrated to you, another friend’s experience which was also told to them?

Am not defending or advocating for family planning, but rather this “hearsay” syndrome should stop. Fellow citizens of this great nation, let’s talk about issues we are knowledgeable about. I believe we will mitigate on the damage that comes due to being misinformed.

It’s everyone’s right to express themselves how they feel about something, but let’s do it with a lot of caution. I believe we shall save many consumers of these services and also create more room for innovation by the producers.

To our service providers of family planning, let’s take the responsibility to educate and sensitaize communities about our products and services. This is a point of concern that you should hold consumers with high regard. Let’s not just assume that people know. There is common phrase “if you don’t let your child know, some how they will get to know.”

My focus is family planning today but there are many services and products beaten off the grid by hearsay. Am sure you can relate.

If you don’t let your child know, some how they will get to know

Educate your clients B4 someone does……

We can’t rule out the fact that there challenges with these services(family planning) like any other services , but there testimonies too from different couples. So as we share the benefits of these services, let’s also own the challenges that they have caused.

To encourage those who would wish to use the service of their choice.lets build trust with our clientele by coming out and being responsible for the good and bad.

Build more clientele: address the virus of “Hearsay;”

Lets stop hearsay on family planning, rather get the right information from a trained doctor.

What do you think….???
